Our Curriculum

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum individually tailored to the needs of the young person.

Curriculum at Oaklea Grange School

At Oaklea Grange School, the pupil is at centre of all that we do. Our curriculum is tailored to suit the individual’s needs, interest and aspirations and learning styles.

We have taken a broader, more flexible approach to our ‘stage not age’ curriculum so that it is not only tailored to the needs, skills and interests of the pupils but also provides a balance of academic, artistic, cultural and vocational elements.

We recognise that not all pupils are ready to access accredited qualifications and so we foster a skill builder programme which develops eight essential skills to succeed these are- listening, speaking, problem solving, creativity, staying positive, aiming high, leadership and teamwork.

We extend learning beyond the confines of the classroom to build essential independent skills, foster teamwork and promote community collaboration through work experience, community work and school trips.
